Aggression comes back from the commercial break, and the spotlight hangs over the ring announcer signifying that the main event is next.
John: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is your Aggression main event of the evening!
Melissa: How much do you want to bet that Sunny’s not going to be in a good mood after what the CEO had to say a bit ago?
Dante: Probably not, but it is the fairest way. If the Cheetah or Isis is going to have to compete twice, so should Sunny.
The lights shut off almost entirely aside from a single spotlight at the entrance way. Qilin, the goth lolita, walks out with a mask in her hands. Qilin looks and giggles, kissing the forehead of the mask before raising it above her head and tossing it to the ground. As soon as it hits the ground the entire ramp is filled with fog and the arena goes quiet for a moment, Qilin completely obscured.
“Oh my god Please help me, knee deep in the river tryin' to get clean He says wash your hands, get out the stains But you best believe, boy, there's hell to pay Yeah you best believe, boy, there's hell to pay, sayin' Come on!”
The roar with boos as the fog clears and standing next to Qilin is a masked woman, clad in gold, black and red, those crimson lips curl and she points at the ring. Making their way down QIlin hands pamphlets to anyone who would take one.
John: Hailing from, Yeongdeungpo District, South Korea this is the Game Changer....Sunny Kyoun!
“I rambled with the worst of them Fell in love with a harlequin Saw the darkest hearts of men And I saw myself starin' back again And I saw myself starin' back again”
Slowly she, alongside Qilin, slowly make it to the ring as smoke billows down the walkway to the ring. Qilin climbs up onto the apron and holds the ropes for her masked leader. Sunny quickly slips through the ropes and glares around as smoke surrounds the ring. Qilin helps Sunny remove the entrance attire before slipping out of ring. Sunny stares off, waiting, plotting.
Melissa: If Sunny’s irritated by the news we got earlier, she’s not showing it. That’s a game face fit for wrestling or poker right there.
Dante: She’s not one to show too much frustration if she can help it. It kinda flies in the faces of her life motto, after all.
The lights go out, leaving the crowd in silence for a moment before “Into The Sun” by The Parlor Mob kicks in, all the lights in the arena stuttering on and off. As the guitar opening slows down the lights die and are replaced only by a bright white spotlight shining down onto the middle of the entrance ramp like a golden sunbeam slicing down from the heavens and illuminating where Scarlett Kincaid, head bowed. As the first verse is sung, She stands there, breathing deeply and composing herself for a long couple of seconds before she starts to head toward the ring. On her way down the entrance ramp she high fives as many of the fans on both sides of the entrance ramp as she possibly can on her way to the ring.
As she gets to the ring she climbs onto the apron and stands in the middle of the ropes, leaning backwards over the top rope as she pumps her fist. The red haired wrestler pauses for a couple of seconds to take a deep breath before she turns to face the ring, grabbing hold of the top rope and then catapults herself into the ring. Landing on her feet she charges to the opposite corner she leaps to the top, holding her arm aloft to a loud ovation from the crowd. Finally she turns and drops to sit on the top turnbuckle, looking into the ring, nodding her head along to the song as it draws to a close and the lights return to normal she drops down onto her feet in the corner, kissing two of her fingertips she presses the kiss against two small sets of initials - EK & EGD - embroidered on her ring gear at her hip.
John: Standing 5’6” tall, weighing in at 128 lbs and hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Please welcome, accompanied to the ring…. SCARLETT KINCAID!!!
Melissa: Scarlett looks as ready for business as I’ve ever seen here. This is the first ever meeting between them, and a win here could propel Scarlett right into the top of the Defiance rankings.
Dante: Could? This would do it! Sunny is considered the #1 contender, at least by Kyle. So there’s no reason why he shouldn’t. Of course, that doesn’t mean he will.
Referee Angela Rocca checked both women, and called for the bell as John left the ring. Sunny stood stoic as ever, watching Scarlett who was warming up a bit in her corner. The redhead moved to the center of the ring, even though Sunny stayed in her corner. Rocca looked over at her as well when Qilin stepped up onto the apron. When the referee and Scarlett looked over to her, Sunny took off towards her with a dropkick to the chest. It dropped the redhead on her backside, and Sunny immediately used clubbing blows to her back as she tried to get up. Kincaid shoved her backwards, only for Sunny to execute a double stomp to her back to put her back down. A series of relentless kicks to the body followed that before one final punt in the ribs put Scarlett back on the mat.
Melissa: So that’s what she was waiting for, Qilin to give her a distraction so she could attack Scarlett when she wasn’t looking.
Dante: In Scarlett’s defense, I’d be distracted by Wednesday Addams if she came to the ring too. And Gomez would probably do that to me for looking at his daughter.
The redhead got to all fours briefly as Sunny bounced off the near side with a hip check to the side of her head. A jumping elbow drop followed that before she rolled her over, and then applied a rear chinlock with her knee against Kincaid’s back. Scarlett tried to pull Sunny’s hands apart under her chin, but was having trouble breaking her grip. The Game Changer retaliated with a headbutt to the back of her head, which stunned her opponent and made her let go of her fingers.
Melissa: Sunny must have a terrific grip. Scarlett couldn’t barely get her fingers in to relieve some of the pressure of this rear chinlock.
Dante: I think she was getting there, but eating a headbutt to the base of your skull is going to stop you from that….and quite a few other things too.
When the Cajun began to collect her wits about her, she rolled into the hold and caused Sunny to make it a side headlock. That didn’t deter her though, causing the cult figure to start grinding her head in the process. Scarlett tried to shoot her off into the ropes to no avail, as Sunny held the grip and barely budged a step. Finally, Scarlett picked her up for an atomic drop that sent Sunny into the ropes. Kyoun stopped herself before she collided with them, and turned into a lungblower from the veteran! That ricocheted Sunny back into the ropes, and then into a facebuster! The crowd came to their feet as Scarlett rolled her over for the cover!
ONE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Kyoun was out as the two count struck the mat, and Scarlett rubbed her head and neck briefly. She pulled her back to her feet, shoved her back into the ropes again, and into a t-bone suplex!
Melissa: Sunny was like a ping pong ball bouncing between the ropes, and Scarlett! A near fall, and a t-bone for kicking out!
Dante: She reminded me of one of those clowns you punch that pops back up. I’m not sure she had full control of her body entirely during that flurry.
As Sunny started back to her feet, Scarlett snatched her up again. This time, she connected with a t-bone suplex that sent Sunny into the corner before she landed upside down with her legs over her head against the turnbuckles. With the crowd behind her, Scarlett didn’t give Sunny much chance to recover before she grabbed her around the legs and pulled her out of the corner. She hoisted her with a bit of a strength display, and then connected with a wheelbarrow facebuster before rolling through for a cover!
Dante: Scarlett’s putting on a clinic here, and Sunny gets to the training dummy! She may actually have her here!
ONE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
TH-NOPE!!
Sunny rolled her shoulder in time, and Scarlett got back to her feet. Once more, Qilin climbed up onto the apron. Rocca went to get her down as Scarlett went to get Sunny, only to catch a low blow that dropped the Cajun to her knees instead. Qilin hopped back down as the referee turned back with a confused look, while Sunny was trying to pull herself together against the ropes.
Melissa: Once again, Qilin is causing all kinds of problems out here. Sunny was in big trouble, but a low blow stopped all that in a heartbeat.
Dante: A low blow can stop a lot of things in a heartbeat. Qilin would make a great accomplice if you were trying to rob a gas station.
Sunny finally made it back to her feet as Scarlett was still reeling on her knees. The Game Changer rebounded off the near side ropes with a knee trembler to the side of her head. Scarlett toppled over to the mat, and Sunny headed for the corner. She made it to the top rope, staring down at the redhead as she made it back to her feet. When Scarlett turned, Sunny delivered a missile dropkick to her chest. The live crowd only booed louder as Sunny seemed to measure her as she tried to get up again, delivering a superkick to her chin before diving into a cover.
Melissa: There’s the KICK SUPER! One of Sunny’s favorite moves, and it’s about to lead her to a massive win!
ONE!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!
Kincaid kicked out at two and 7/8ths, causing Sunny to look slightly irritated. She rose to her feet, and headed for the ropes at a high rate of speed. Scarlett got up and went to grab her as Sunny went for a springboard neckbreaker….but Scarlett kicked the second rope out from under her and she plummeted to the floor.
Dante: That was smart! Sunny was going to springboard off the ropes into something we’ll never know, but Scarlett moved the diving board! This will give her a chance to collect her marbles.
Qilin immediately headed around the ring, checking on her mentor and trying to help her get to her feet. Rocca counted in the ring as Scarlett seemed to be getting herself together. Sunny made it to the apron at the count of seven, causing Kincaid to go get her. When she did, Kyoun lowered her shoulder and drove it into Scarlett’s ribs. She pulled Kincaid’s head over the middle rope, and dropped down to the floor to snap her neck across it. The Cajun started choking and gasping for air as Sunny rolled back inside. When the former FFW Champion turned around, Sunny used a double palm strike to her chest that dropped her where she stood! She immediately dove into a cover as Rocca went to count.
Dante: HADOUKEN! Kincaid can’t breathe, this is over!
ONE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!
Scarlett’s arm popped up in time before the three, causing Sunny to sit up and give a cold stare towards the referee. Rocca again showed her it was just a two count before she got back to her feet.
Melissa: If looks could kill, we’d need another referee out here! Sunny’s hitting almost all her favorites so far, but can’t find the answer to the question of what keeps Scarlett down!
The redhead started to get up very slowly before Sunny grabbed her head and arm, looking as though she were going for Scarlett’s kimura. But the Cajun felt it coming, and drove her back into the corner as hard as she could. Sunny winced as she hit, and Scarlett rose up to send her flying with a leg hook Saito suplex. But she dropped to a knee in the corner as she was still hurting too much to follow up.
Dante: There went the ScarPlex, I think she calls it! The name is irrelevant at this point, because she can’t do anything about it.
Melissa: These two have taken the measure of one another more than I thought might be the case. You’d think this was for a title, but neither has one!
Kincaid was back to her feet first, leaning against the corner and waiting on her opponent to start to get up. When she did and was turned in the wrong direction, Scarlett lunged forward and connected with her reverse rana that spiked the top of Sunny’s head into the mat. Kincaid rolled her over, and hooked both legs for the cover!
Melissa: The RAGIN’ CAJUN! Sunny’s out cold! THIS IS IT!!
…………………………………………………………………………..
Melissa: Where’s the referee?! AGAIN?!
No count came though. Scarlett looked around to see Qilin back on the apron a third time. She pounded her fist against the mat, trying to get the referee’s attention. Rocca looked back, and immediately dove for the count.
ONE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!!
Sunny kicked out, and the look of frustration formed on the redhead’s face. However, a pop was heard as Shane Atwater started to head down the ramp. Qilin got back to the floor, and saw Shane walking towards her.
Dante: It would seem we have an equalizer, and Qilin….you better keep walking! Shane’s gonna meet Sunny at Criminal Intent, and I think he’s had enough of Qilin as Scarlett has.
Qilin kept looking behind her as she walked more quickly around the ring. Shane followed along almost in lockstep before she began to head up the ramp. Back in the ring, Scarlett had a little smile on her face watching this. Sunny, when she got up, didn’t. She reached through the ropes to grab him, causing Shane to stop and look up at her.
Melissa: Sunny’s not happy that Qilin is being escorted out of the arena by Shane. But I think she may be burning the candle at both ends here!
Dante: You’re telling me!Scarlett’s enough on her own, but trying to pull Shane too….well there’s better plans than this!
Qilin started to head back to the ring, seeing Shane staring up at Sunny. The referee told Sunny to focus on her match, and she turned around into a kick to the stomach. Scarlett nailed her with a spinning lifting double underhook facebuster! The crowd came to their feet as Kincaid went for the cover. Qilin moved quickly towards the ring before Shane stood in her path with his arms crossed.
Dante: BAYOU BUSTER!! And Qilin just ran into the guardian of the gate!
ONE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
Melissa: And with a little assistance from Shane Atwater, Scarlett Kincaid has put herself right at the table when it comes to the Defiance Championship. Tell’em about it, John!
John: Here is your winner………………..SCARLETT KINCAID!!!
Shane glanced back to the ring as the referee raised Scarlett’s hand. Qilin looked heartbroken as Shane headed back up the ramp.
Dante: Shane never put his hands on Qilin once, but his presence was enough to deter her and occupy Sunny at the same time. Boy, those two are going to be in a mood come Criminal Intent when they meet!
Scarlett seemed quite pleased with herself, and rolled out to the floor to share in the joy with some of the ringside fans.
Melissa: Well done to Scarlett, and the Defiance title picture is positively packed right now! There’s one more stop before we head for Criminal Intent, and that’s Uprising this Sunday! We’ll see you there!
Scarlett celebrated with the fans outside, while Sunny looked venomous with anger in the ring. Aggression went off the air on that image.
